Alexis Anica, known as GODSPEED, is a DJ and producer driven by the relentless energy of The Speed of Life. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Alexis first fell in love with electronic music at 19 after witnessing Subtronics play direct support for Ganja White Night on THE ONE TOUR in 2019. That night sparked an obsession—not just with dubstep, but with the entire world of EDM and its core values of PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect).A naturally curious mind, Alexis became fascinated with sound design and music production. While attending UNLV in 2021, he discovered that the school’s computers had Ableton—and from that moment, a new path was set in motion. While producing was his first passion, it was their best friend Brenden (aka Blackbox) who inspired them to start DJing. In Fall 2023, Alexis stepped behind the decks for the first time, leading to their debut live performance in October of that year. A year later, their first show at a true venue was a B2B set with Blackbox, marking the beginning of something much bigger.The name GODSPEED is deeply personal. It comes from a memory shared with close friends on a transformative trip—a word that carried meaning beyond goodbye. Now, it stands as a symbol for embracing life.The story is still being written. This is only the beginning.
